Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By enrolling your child in Little Notes programs or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before enrollment.

Enrollment and Registration

Registration Process

  • All enrollments must be completed by a parent or legal guardian
  • Complete and accurate information must be provided during registration
  • We reserve the right to refuse enrollment for any reason
  • Classes are subject to minimum enrollment requirements

Age Requirements

Our programs are designed for children aged 3 to 6 years. Children must meet the age requirement for their chosen program at the time of enrollment.

Payment Terms

Tuition and Fees

  • Tuition must be paid in full prior to the start of classes unless other arrangements have been made
  • Monthly packages are due on the 1st of each month
  • Term packages must be paid in full at registration
  • Drop-in classes must be paid before or at the time of the class
  • A late fee of $15 may be applied to payments received more than 5 days after the due date

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and e-transfer. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Withdrawal by Parent/Guardian

  • Drop-in classes: Non-refundable once booked
  • Monthly packages: 2 weeks written notice required for cancellation. Refund provided on a pro-rata basis minus a $25 administrative fee
  • Term packages: Refunds available up to 2 weeks after term start, minus a $50 administrative fee. No refunds after this period
  • Private lessons: 24 hours notice required for cancellation or rescheduling

Cancellation by Little Notes

If we cancel a class, you will be offered a makeup class or full refund for that session. We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred due to class cancellation.

Attendance and Makeup Classes

  • Regular attendance is encouraged for optimal learning
  • No refunds or credits are given for missed classes
  • Monthly and term package students may schedule makeup classes within the same session, subject to availability
  • Makeup classes must be scheduled within 30 days of the missed class
  • Makeup classes are not available for drop-in classes

Health and Safety

Illness Policy

Please keep your child home if they are exhibiting any signs of illness, including fever, cough, runny nose, or other symptoms. This protects all students and staff.

Allergies and Medical Conditions

Parents must inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, or special needs their child may have. We will make reasonable accommodations as needed.

Emergency Procedures

In case of emergency, we will contact the parent/guardian immediately using the contact information provided. Please ensure your contact information is current.

Code of Conduct

Student Behavior

We expect all students to:

  • Treat teachers, staff, and other students with respect
  • Follow instructions and classroom rules
  • Use instruments and materials appropriately
  • Participate actively in class activities

Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time for pick-up and drop-off
  • Communicate any concerns or changes in circumstances
  • Support their child's learning at home
  • Treat all staff and other families with respect

Disciplinary Action

We reserve the right to dismiss any student whose behavior is disruptive or unsafe, without refund.

Photography and Media

We may take photographs and videos during classes for promotional purposes. Parents must provide written consent for their child's image to be used in marketing materials. You may revoke consent at any time by contacting us in writing.

Liability and Insurance

Little Notes carries liability insurance. However, parents/guardians acknowledge that participation in music and movement activities carries inherent risks. By enrolling, you agree to release Little Notes, its owners, teachers, and staff from liability for any injuries or damages that may occur during participation in our programs, except in cases of gross negligence.

Intellectual Property

All curriculum materials, lesson plans, and teaching methods used at Little Notes are our intellectual property and may not be reproduced without written permission.

Changes to Programs and Policies

We reserve the right to modify our programs, schedules, policies, and prices at any time. Current students will be notified of any significant changes with reasonable notice.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms of Service will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada.
